I Asked 211 Clickfunnels 2 Comma Club Members These 2 Questions

The Clickfunnels 2 Comma Club is a club for those who have generated at least 1 million dollars in revenue through the use of Clickfunnels.

All the members are listed on the 2 Comma Club website (just name and company).

I thought it would make an awesome blog post to get in touch with all the 2 Comma Club members and hear about how they did it, and their advice for other aspiring members.

The response was very positive. The only “negative” response was a few people asking how I found their email, and reaching out to Clickfunnels, who emailed me. To their defense it seems they just wanted to make sure that Clickfunnels themselves weren’t putting the email addresses out there somewhere unknowingly.

Again, the response was very positive. Wilco de Kreij shot a personal video for me. Someone else offered to do a longer interview. A couple of people complimented “the hustle” of going out there and finding all the email addresses.

Without further ado, here are te stats and answers from this outreach.

Enjoy the post!

I wanted to know the answer to these 2 questions

The 2 things I wanted to know about these people were:

1. How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

2. What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

It was interesting to research all the 2 comma club members, and I spotted a few patterns.

  • There’s a lot of Italians on the list! Hardly any other European countries had more than 1 member on the list
  • A lot of members got there by mastering Facebook advertising, both for themselves, and for clients
  • Online courses was a commonly recurring vehicle for getting on the list
  • Helping people START a business was another clear pattern I noticed as far as offers go
  • I found a few interesting ones where the person in question was clearly a scammer, someone went to prison, and also found an active lawsuit. I decided not to add those people to the list, just a personal choice.

With that said, let’s look at the stats from this campaign, and then I’ll go through all the answers.

2 Comma club outreach statistics

Names on my list: 319
Emails found: 211
Emails actually delivered to inbox: 173
Open rate: 57.8%
Asked how I found their email: 2
Answered my questions: 22

Here are the answers from the 2 comma club members

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

#1: It took be 5 months to go from $1 to $1,000,000 in income from a digital product. I had made money before from doing online work, but not digital products. First dollar online was 7 years before making a mil.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

#2: Forget everything you have heard about this being easy. There is no script, template, or system that will work on its own. You need to embrace pain, discomfort, and suffering to build a million dollar business. These are the building blocks of what it takes to become great. The more pain you are willing to go through, the more you will find competitors that are not willing to go through that same pain. If you are not willing to go through pain, then you can fill out an application any time at your local McDonalds.

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

1. 8 years to make $1 mil+ revenue within one year

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

2. Keep plugging away. Refining landing pages. Find where good traffic is and spend money when you have a cushion to spend, and you can prove profitability with your first $2,000 in marketing spend. When you do profit, with pixels in place tracking conversions, scale up. Lookalike audiences and retargeting works best. Try to gain social proof with testimonials, and partnerships with credible brands.

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

1. Hard to answer exactly but from the time I “really focused” on online marketing to $1 Million was about 14 months – can’t remember how long before that I made my first buck online just goofing around.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

2. Find a market that you can really get a great result for and offer a high ticket option. If you can really do what you promise you will make many millions not just one.

Brian Page (2 Comma Club)

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

It took me roughly 43 days from the day I launched my funnel till I hit $1M. I had made some money before that (a few thousand) but not through a funnel and ended up giving all those sales back so I could start over properly.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

The best piece of advice I can give is to be crystal clear on your outcome and relentless in pursuit of it. If you know exactly what you’re aiming to accomplish and you continuously give everything of yourself each day (regardless of whether you are seeing direct results or not) you will eventually find a way.

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

1. It took 10 months to go from zero to 7 figures.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

2. 1 piece of advice: Dominate ONE thing until you get to a million in revenue. Don’t get distracted by “opportunities”. Find the one thing that is repeatable and distribute that message/product until you get to basecamp one(7-figures). Once you get there, retool and THEN think about adding the next layer, funnel or idea to your business.

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

To have a $1M+ in one year took 6 years.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

In relation to the one piece of advice for someone who wants to build a million dollar business online, I would say implement systems while remaining focused on moving away from the tactical tasks which you can delegate. This will help you spend as much time as possible in a strategic position which will be required to break the 7 figure mark.

Once this is done and a solid team is built around you, 7 figures is just the start. You will finally be able to see a clear path to 8 figures and beyond.

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

1) 6 Years. Tons of heartache and spinning of my wheels.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

2) Find a niche, build a value ladder inside of it, from offers as low as $1 to your highest package offer. Craft your offers, build your list, provide value, build your community and focus on being the best you can be at that ONE niche.

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

-so it took me 2 years to hit $200k in sales
-and after that, it took me 10 months to hit 1M

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

Focus a lot on selling ONE thing very well ( the one with the most profit margins ideally ) before expanding on other products

Wilco de Kreij (2 Comma Club)

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

Roughly 5 years

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

Focus on one thing instead of running from one thing to the next, and make it work.

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

It took me nearly 2 Years.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

The best advice i have is: FOCUS on only 1 business model. If u like dropshipping ! Only do dropshipping! If u like affiliate marketing, only do that. dont try to mix everything. Also with advertising. Start with facebook for example and give a shit on adwords.. youtube ads or other stuff.

Only when u have masterd one of the things u can start the next thing.

And the biggest advice I have. When u have a mentor it is the biggest shortcut. Find a mentor , work for them for at least 1 year. And than do it by ur self.

Jason Wardrop (2 Comma Club)

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

It took us about 1.5 years to go from $1 to $1,000,000. That was in Jan 2013 to about April 2014.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

My one piece of advice for anyone is to be consistent and persevere. Too many people give up when the going gets hard. Josef consistently posts content every single day, 365 days a year. We are always looking at what we do and how to improve.

Raoul Plickat (2 Comma Club X)

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

1. 3 1/2 years

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

2. Always ask yourself what is the NEXT biggest leverage you can implement in your business. Take your ego out of the way. Your ego is the biggest cost, because most often the money you miss is because of your ego. And money missed is money lost! So the cost of missed opportunities is very important factor to reduce the timeframe to your first million.

Peter Pru (2 Comma Club)

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

About 7 years. It wasn’t until I started implementing sales funnels in my eCommerce businesses did I truly take both my life and business to the next level.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

Your time will come. Be patient. Keep your head up. There’s a reason that only 1% succeed at this, so understand that with each failure comes an experience. And with every new experience comes knowledge that you didn’t have before. Use that as fuel for your next endeavor knowing that you won’t make that same mistake again. Understand that all great things take time, there is no get rich quick and there is no easy. Stay clear of things that claim that.

The real winners are the ones that keep going after everyone else has jumped ship. So don’t jump from one shiny object to the next. No successful people do that. You have to stick with it. And when you finally see even a sprinkle of success, go all in like your life depends on it. Seriously, do it, whatever it takes. Expose that one opportunity for all it’s worth and give it literally everything you have. But make sure you believe in it first. Because if you don’t believe in what you are doing, you’re certainly not going to be able to convince other people to buy your products.

Also, you don’t have to be alone at this. Find a group of people that inspire you and are on the same path. Find a mentor that makes you feel uncomfortable with the amounts of success they have. Invest in yourself first, you offer the highest ROI in your life.

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

1. 18 Months it took to get to $1m

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

2. Plan your business model before you grow it, the right business model at $1m is a dream, the wrong business model can be a pain!

Josef Rakich (2 Comma Club)

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

To be 100% honest with you I could not even tell you the answer to this, mostly because my focus in just working on the business and creating the best experience for my clients possible on a daily basis, it is my marketing team & managers who know the exact numbers to all this data. However I first started off slow, doing everything manually, it wasn’t until I found a way to automate what I do that really allowed me to scale my business and help 100 x the more people than what I ever thought could have been possible, once I did this and had the automation in place along with using click funnels we quickly saw our numbers climb. I guess it may have been around 5-6 months in total after applying this strategy.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

Simple. Do what you love and love what you do. Do not go after the job that “makes the most money” go after the job that you are most passionate about. Reason becing is because you will always end up making a lot more money that way because passion overrides EVERYTHING.

Greg Cassar (2 Comma Club)

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

1. First $1,000,000 took about 5 or 6 years. I started off with an eCommerce store back in 2003 and Google Adwords to drive traffic to it. We made lots of sales but they were low price point books. It wasn’t until we morphed to becoming an Agency that we went over the $1m.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

2. Run your winners long and cut your losers short. In reality you are going to test and try a whole bunch of things and learn as you go. Most things won’t work initially. You then need to figure out do you need to say ‘next’ and move onto the next opportunity, or do you need to tweak and test what you are doing now. Once you get on a winner be laser focussed and give it enough energy units to smash it out of the park. Also lead with value first and build the audience, the list, the authority and trust, then the money will come.

Dana Derricks (2 Comma Club)

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

About 5 years

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

Follow this principal: 80% doing, 20% learning. It’s easy to get caught up in and excited about learning the latest, greatest strategy, software tool, or business opportunity…but what’s fun and what makes your business truly successful are t usually the same. That and grab a copy of the Dream 100 Book if you want to fast-forward your results

Alison J Prince (2 Comma Club)

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

1st business – 2.5 years
2nd business – 11 months
3rd business – 24 months
4th business – 10 months (this was the 2 comma club winner because I didn’t know what cf was until this business)

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

Advice: #kicksatanintheteeth
You will want to stop, you will want to give up, you will want to walk away. That’s exactly how Satan wants you to feel so you don’t get your goals. He’ll put as much discouragement into your brain as possible to derail you. As soon as you recognize it…kick Satan in the teeth and get him out of your head AND then get to work because you were meant to make this happen!

Rob Schmidt (2 Comma Club)

How long did it take you from your first $1 online to your first $1,000,000 (cumulated, not annual)?

– It took us about 6 months.

What 1 piece of advice do you have for people who want to start a million dollar online business?

– Serve high-margin dirty industries with barriers to entry for the founders. Examples include: waste management, utilities, fire restoration, C&D. If you have a good grasp on marketing, technology and how systems work together, it is easier to position yourself as a partner (even outsource CTO) for industries that aren’t (usually) greatly leveraging technology in their business.

How I Compiled the list of 2 comma club members

At the time of writing my firstborn daughter is just 8 weeks, and I’m on daddy duty from 10pm – 4am everyday.

I used this time (in between feedings) to research every single 2 comma club member, and most importantly: find their email address so that I could contact them.

I could have outsourced this but I felt that this was one of those tasks where I wanted things done right.

I didn’t want someone who was going to take shortcuts, and tarnish my own reputation in the process of contacting the 2 Comma Club members.

The official list I put together had 319 names on it, and I was able to find 219 emails.

It probably took me 10 hours to find all those emails, and I got pretty good at it (a few people asked me how I was able to find their email since they didn’t post it anywhere).

And no, you can’t buy the list from me.

Whose advice resonated the most with you? Comment below.
